tired

We’ve closed on the house this afternoon and started moving stuff immediately. I’m spent now. Can’t even pick up my knitting. And it’s still not finished yet. We are still sleeping at the old apartment. See you next week when hopefully we’re all settled in.
Meanwhile, things to think about:

quilt month 6: a swap

Here’s my fabrics for the Lap Quilt Swap. I’ll be sending it to Adrienne on Monday. My selections from top to bottom: reproduction fabric, Cake Rock Beach dots, Katie Jump Rope florals, Marimekko pillowcase, another reproduction fabric, linen, and my trusty Carolina Chambray. The star quilt along is finally done! I decided to just suck it up and make one more setting block to make half a quilt. I used a total of seven setting blocks and eight star blocks to made the top instead of the whole twenty five blocks. I did make all of the quilt [...]

dirty laundry

We are in the process of selecting a pair of washer and dryer. And that is a difficult task. Our previous and current apartments came with washer and dryer so we don’t really have to think about them. Now that we got a house, it is a necessity. I only know that I want a [...]

Sorry for the lack of blogging, folks. I’ve been busy knitting and calling all the brokers, agents, inspectors, and everyone house related. Meanwhile, it’s quilting month over at Josie’s and I’m joining in on the fun. This is a new old book acquired from Sally’s tag sale. She’s moving to Korea (lucky her!) and destashing [...]
