Welcome to my blog! I’m giving away a copy of Modern Blocks book (which I contributed to). The publisher was kind enough to send me two copies, so the extra is for you!

For those of you whose never been here before, I am Amanda, quilty mom of two living in Ohio. Other than quilting, I also love to knit, make clothes and bags, and Blythe dolls! Right now, I am completely obsessed with making Farmer’s Wife blocks.
This giveaway is open to US residents only. To win, please leave comment of what kind of handmades are you making for Christmas presents this year. The giveaway will be open until Friday, December 16 at 5 PM PST. Thanks for stopping by and good luck!
Oh, and don’t forget to check out more fabulous giveaway over here.

the first commenter? wow! I am sewing pillows for my sister & a dolly quilt for my daughter!
I’m not doing very many handmade gifts this year, I just don’t have a lot of time! I am making a bag for my sister though, the Amy Butler Blossom bag from the free pattern on Sew Mama Sew. I’m nervous, Amy Butler bags aren’t know for being the easiest! But I’ve made one of her other patterns before, I think I can pull it off
Hey Amanda,
I’m going for a smaller number of handmade gifts, and putting a lot more extra work into them! I’m working on one quilt for my brother and one set of PJs for my boyfriend. I hope I can finish in time!
I’ve made a lot. A cupcake bakery play set, a mailman play set complete with carrier bag and postcards with little velcro stamps, cosmetic bags, baby quilts, notebook portfolio covers, jewelry travel bags and a few other small things.
I’m in the middle of making a honey cowl for my sister, but I plan to knit a couple more if I have time to give as gifts!
How lovely! IT’s a very limited handmade holiday for me this year. The kids and I are making reindeer thumbprint ornaments for their grandparents. I’m having my daughter draww on fabric then turning it into embroidered tea towels for my grandmothers. Can’t wait to see this beautiful book!
This year I’m making several tablerunners. I’m also doing a lot of Crochet cowls and headbands
Dogs are getting spiffy new collars and there are many purses still to be made….

Lovely book, Amanda! This year, I’m making potholders and dishtowels;-)
I made a table runner and some hot pads for my sister.
This year I made fabric gift bags to put the grandkid’s presents in. I appliqued each initial on the appropriate bag. They were simple and quick – and after the kids open them for their “real” gift, they can use the bag to hold whatever other treasures they might have!
I’m making a quilted table runner and finishing up a baby quilt. Thank you for the chance to win. blueberryblues5(at)gmail(dot)com

Wow! super generous! The only handmades I’m making for gifts are tote bags for my daughters teachers.
Ooooh – I’m in Ohio, too!!! So weird to see someone else from Ohio blogging – but good! I just finished some stockings and ornaments (I’m working on a very big project, too, but I don’t want to spill the beans just in case the recipient reads this – it’s TOP SECRET – tee hee hee). I’ll also be making “remembrance” ornaments for folks who have lost loved ones this year. I’m sure I have made other things, but my toddler is talking my ear off right now and I can’t concentrate very well….
My 12-yr-old daughter and I are making a quilt for my 6-yr-old daughter. I’m also knitting a lot of cowls, scarves, and mitts. Some zipper pouches are also on the list. Merry Christmas!
