Ok, I’m three days late to announce the winner. The excuse is potty training, ahem. So without further delay, the winner is Sarah who said:

Tangerine it is!! These stocking are so cute!!

Congrats to Sarah and I will send you an email. Back to the potty for me.

I saw this project on PurlBee and immediately thought, this is perfect for our family! The only problem is, I couldn’t narrow down the color choices to four. So I already bought five Kona Cottons, red, tangerine, bright pink, lime, and sable. Two more is on the way, pomegranate and chocolate. I couldn’t even decide which color goes to who. I will make five stockings out of them and let Papa decide which one is for me, for himself, and for baby Chris. The pink one is spoken for (Miss Abby), but the others are fair game. The lone sock that’s not chosen will go to you! Pick one favorite color and if that happens to be the one that Papa didn’t choose for us, I will send it out to you, complete with the embroidered name too.

top to bottom: tangerine, lime (left one), bright pink, sable, and red

So go ahead, tell me which one is your favorite, and I’ll pick a winner among those who pick the unchosen stocking on Sunday evening. To make it even more fun, also tell me what are you planning for the holiday season. By the way, this is also a good push for me to finish those stockings before Christmas Eve. *wink*

… my neighbour in Columbus, twopeasinapoddesigns! She said,

I am oh so very very far away from you…by like 30 minutes. I’m from Columbus : ).

My grandfather always gave my Dad elephants for gifts and said it was because an elephant never forgets. Sweet.

My favorite project at the moment is clothing for me and my kids. I just got a new serger so I’m enjoying the new toy.

Thanks for such a unique giveaway.

Cogratulations and I will email you to get your address. I’d also like to thank all the wonderful commenters, all 328 of them. I had fun reading it and finding new wonderful blogs!

Today is the Giveaway Day over at SewMamaSew. So here you go…

This is Peanut the Elephant from Last Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts. He’s cute and cuddly and looking for a new home. I might just have to wrestle it out from Abby’s hands to send it to you!

And here’s the other goodies: a fat quarter of Alexander Henry’s elephants, a fat quarter of Ikea’s fairy tale fabric, a little more than half a yard of nursery print fabric, and a little piece of Japanese fabric of gray elephants.

For fun, please say where you are and what is your favorite craft project at the moment when you comment. I’ll leave it open until Sunday evening, and this giveaway is open to US participants only. I’ll announce the winner on Monday morning. Good luck!

First, the winner for my giveaway is… AJ! Expect an email from me today.

Second, I just received an email about my partner’s info for BT4. It’s Alice from England. I’ve never been to her blog before but I heart her shop for such a long time. She makes great bags from linen and I wonder what can I make for her. I better prepare some kind of questionnaire to get to know her better. If you’re reading this Alice, hi! {wave, wave}

Third, update for my Lap Quilt: fabrics been cut but no sewing because I still have no worktable. Hopefully this weekend I’ll get it plus a new bookcase too.

Lastly, today is our fourth anniversary. So happy anniversary to us and happy weekend to all of you!

Hi everyone! I’m still here and not drowning in boxes anymore. I’m actually in an aquarium right now because we haven’t put up all the curtains and blinds. The final decision are bamboo roman shades for the windows and curtains for the big sliding door. On the top of my sewing list is the lap quilt for BTRS Swap and linen curtains for the kitchen and bathroom.

And to celebrate our new little house, let’s do a little giveaway! Leave a comment here to win your own little red house and I’ll pick a name on Friday morning.

I just got this vintage quilt for cheap from browsing Craigslist. It’s in a pretty bad condition, a lot of frayed squares and almost gone binding. The lady that sold it said that it was made by her grandmother. I wonder how long does it take her to do handquilting on a quilt that size! I’m thinking to wash it but not so sure how. Or maybe I shouldn’t wash it at all?

Later on, I want to patch up the frayed squares with some repro fabrics. Some of the batting is gone on the missing squares. Not so sure how to fix that either. For now, I just love this quilt the way it is.

Oh, and I win a giveaway! Yay! Thanks Amy!

Summer quilt for the swap is done. Made with Fresh Squeezed fabrics. Not something I would normally pick up, but I need something summer-y and my stash is more heavy on browns and creams and Japanese cutesy fabrics. Paired with Carolina Chambray which is already on my stash. I love this fabric, deep color courtesy of the different weft and weave.

The pattern is from this book, borrowed from the library. There’s a lot of lovely little quilts that I would love to make all of them if I had the time.

It will be mailed next week to a lady in Europe. I have to get some goodies first to send along with it. Maybe some chocolate or tea?

And here’s another giveaway by Kathleen. Early evening gown in pale pink. You should start them early on the importance of dressing up.

are you bored with these giveaways yet? well, don’t be, because she still have this to give away.

grosgrain

She’s giving this away and all you have to do is write a blog post complete with a link about it. It’s that easy, really. So go and do it!

I’m putting crafting and the blog on a vacation this week. Papa gets one week off every summer, so we have a lot of fun things to do. I will see you again next week.
